New cooler on varnished line

EPI assisted the Renault plant in Douai in improving the quality of varnish application by designing a new cooling system adapted to their production line.

The objective: to stabilize the temperature of the boxes before applying the varnish to ensure a more homogeneous and efficient finish.

To meet this need, our teams have:

• reused two old conditioners to create a new optimized system,
• installed two new fans equipped with variable speed drives for precise flow control,
• modified the duct networks in order to efficiently exploit outside air and regulate temperature.

Carried out during the 2025 summer shutdown, this project led to a noticeable decrease in the temperature of the crates, directly improving the conditions for applying varnish.

An achievement that highlights the ingenuity, adaptability and technical mastery of EPI teams.
