Transformation of a cataphoresis chamber: a key project for the automotive industry of tomorrow

In 2024, the STELLANTIS Zaragoza site undertook a major transformation of its industrial facilities to support the evolution of processes towards more efficient and electrified solutions. EPI Europe is proud to have contributed to this strategic project.

Our mission was to transform an existing cataphoresis oven in order to optimize the cooking of vehicles while replacing gas burners with electric batteries.

Our teams ensured the overall management of the turnkey project, from the design and integration of electric batteries to the modification of the cooking tunnel, the adaptation of the aeraulic networks, then the start-up and commissioning of the first 100% electric oven from the STELLANTIS group.

This project illustrates the synergy of our expertise in engineering, automation, electricity, manufacturing, assembly and commissioning, serving a more innovative and sustainable automotive industry.
